"I've never left the campus since being a student. UPEI feels like my second home!"
What brought you to UPEI?
I'm PEI-born and raised, and decided to stay and raise a family here. PEI has so much to offer with all four seasons of outside adventures. When I decided to go to university, UPEI was the only place I thought about—I've never left the campus since being a student. UPEI feels like my second home!
Philosophy Talk: “What is a Pronoun? A Pedagogy of Indeterminacy”
Dana Doucette (Birkbeck: University of London) will give a talk titled “What is a Pronoun? A Pedagogy of Indeterminacy” on Friday, September 27, from 3:00-4:00 pm, in SDU Main Building 211
A Brief Introduction to First-Year Seminars and Learning Communities
As UPEI continues to think about the best first-year experience or our students, Shannon Murray and Philip Smith will introduce two successful programs from our past: the First-Year Advantage Program and the senior student-led First-Year Seminar. After a brief description of each program, we will open up the discussion to the larger question of what we hope for in the experience of our first-year undergraduate students. Join us in the Teaching and Learning Centre on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00 pm for a "thought-full" discussion.
