UPEI Theatre Studies production of “Everyone” cancelled

2020 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championship cancelled due to COVID-19
In a joint release issued late Thursday night, the University of Prince Edward Island and U SPORTS, the governing body for university sport in Canada, announced the cancellation of the 2020 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championship. READ THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The decision was prompted by Hockey Canada, which announced earlier that all sanctioned hockey activities were being cancelled effective March 13. The U SPORTS University Cup, the men’s championship taking place in Halifax, was also cancelled.
PEI Symphony Orchestra performance to feature UPEI’s Magdalena von Eccher
The PEI Symphony Orchestra (PEISO) is hosting a fundraising concert featuring two new Charlottetown residents, including UPEI’s recently appointed assistant professor of piano Magdalena von Eccher. The event takes place in the sanctuary of Charlottetown’s Zion Presbyterian Church 135 Prince Street, on Saturday, March 14, at 7:30 pm. The concert features von Eccher and Glen Montgomery, both recognized as amongst Canada’s outstanding musicians. The concert will present an array of selections including solo, duet, and trio repertoire in a range of styles.
UPEI researchers aim to help Islanders improve health through CHANGE program
Researchers from UPEI’s Health and Wellness Centre and the Department of Applied Human Sciences are seeking participants for a free lifestyle intervention program called CHANGE, which stands for Canadian Health Advanced by Nutrition and Graded Exercise.
