UPEI flies Progress Pride Flag to celebrate PEI Pride
In celebration of the PEI Pride Festival, July 18–25, UPEI has joined the PEI government, municipalities, and other organizations across PEI in flying the Pride flag for the week at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building and at UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place.

Afternoon of Service: Volunteer Opportunity for Students
All UPEI students are welcome to Join fellow students on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 for an afternoon of volunteering with Pride PEI.
We'll be taking part in "Pride in the Park" at Confederation Landing in Charlottetown - Pride PEI's lively and signature outdoor event.
Volunteering can give students the experience to build their resumes, learn new skills, make new friends, and lend a helping hand to those in need. Join us as we support and celebrate PEI's 2SLGBTQIA+ community (and have a ton of fun in the process)!

An online session for faculty and staff, covering a basic overview of podcasting. We will discuss recording space, tech, editing and how to incorporate podcasts into your course.

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
On Thursday, September 30, UPEI will mark the first official National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, recently designated by the Government of Canada as a federal statutory holiday. This is a day for all Canadians to remember the tragic history and legacy of residential schools in our country and the intergenerational impacts they have had on First Nations and Indigenous Peoples.
Labour Day
The University will be closed for regular operations on Monday, September 6, 2021, in observance of Labour Day.
Classes begin
Classes for the 2021 Fall Academic Semester begin on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Gold Cup Day
