The Presidential Search Committee thanks members of the campus community for their thoughtful input throughout the process and all those who expressed interest in the position. The search attracted an incredibly competitive field of candidates.
The Presidential Search Committee, chaired by Board of Governors Chair Shannon MacDonald, consisted of six Senate-selected and six Board of Governors-selected members (see below).
The search for the new president included a number of opportunities for input from a wide range of representatives of the University community. The Presidential Search Committee was committed to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion and to an open, transparent, and rigorous process. On behalf of the Committee, the Chair communicated frequently with the University community to keep them informed on progress and ways to provide input.
Contributions from faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders were critical to ensuring the Presidential Search Committee had a clear vision of what the next President and Vice-Chancellor should look like, to ensure their qualities align with the University’s values and mission. Members of the campus community have an opportunity to provide anonymous feedback regarding the three finalist candidates for the position of President and Vice-Chancellor via an online form until 11:59 pm, March 24, 2024.
