Consultation Phase
The University of Prince Edward Island has now completed the search for its seventh President and Vice-Chancellor. The 12-month search process consisted of the following phases: Planning, Consultation, Candidate Search, Candidate Assessment, Interview, and Announcement.
During the Consultation Phase, the Search Committee offered several ways for members of the University and broader community to provide input to develop the candidate profile for the President and Vice-Chancellor. Options included an online survey, virtual and in-person group meetings, and written submissions.
Online Survey
The first method by which stakeholders could provide input and share their insights was through a confidential, anonymous online survey. The survey was open until September 8, 2023.
Virtual and In-Person Group Meetings
Perrett Laver coordinated a meeting schedule with key stakeholder groups that were identified during the Planning Phase. Meetings took place in mid-to-late August 2023.
Key UPEI stakeholder groups include the University Senate, UPEI Student Union, support staff, union executives, and direct reports within the Office of the President.
Written Submissions
All individuals and groups were encouraged to fill out the survey; however, if preferred, stakeholders had the option to submit their input in writing by confidential email. Deadline for submissions was September 8, 2023.
