Dr. Brian Wagner, a professor in the UPEI Department of Chemistry, has authored a textbook exploring the chemical and physiochemical principles of supramolecular host-guest chemistry in solution.

The Class of 2024 received a warm welcome to the Atlantic Veterinary College and the start of their education in veterinary medicine in September, albeit in a different form than usual.

Dr. Frederick Kibenge, chair of the Department of Pathology and Microbiology at AVC, has published his third book, Aquaculture Pharmacology, with co-editors Dr. Bernardo Baldisserotto, professor of physiology, Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil, and Dr. Roger Sie-Maen Chong, research aquatic pathologist, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Australia.

Dr. Michael Cockram, Chair in Animal Welfare at AVC, has co-edited a book titled The Slaughter of Farmed Animals: Practical ways of enhancing animal welfare, with Dr. Temple Grandin, professor of animal science at Colorado State University and renowned advocate for animal welfare.

On January 24th, 2020, a “vet team,” including three senior AVC students, Angelina Gorrill, Krystina Lewis, and Ashley Kroyer, and me, left for Kenya with suitcases and boxes full of veterinary medicine for our annual international smallholder dairy health management rotation.
