Three students from the Master of Arts in Island Studies (MAIS) program at the University of Prince Edward Island have been awarded Canada Graduate Scholarships from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC) through its master’s program competition.

Holland College and the University of Prince Edward Island have signed 22 degree pathway agreements to enable graduates from Holland College to pursue their educational goals seamlessly and obtain a degree from UPEI.
December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women in Canada. Established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada, this day marks the anniversary of the murders in 1989 of 14 young women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal. UPEI will observe the day by lowering the flags in front of Kelley Memorial Building to half-mast.
