The Department of Health Management is interviewing 3 candidates for the tenure track faculty position in Large Animal Internal Medicine.  As part of the interview process, each candidate has been asked to present two brief seminars.  One suitable for DVM students and the other presentation of their research interests.

Dr. Stacy Tinkler is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Large Animal Internal Medicine service at Purdue University.  Since graduation from the University of Minnesota in 2005, she has worked in large animal internal medicine and equine ambulatory practice, and completed a Master’s degree in Public Health in 2014.  She has also been involved in working equid volunteer veterinary projects since she was a vet student and has a passion for international veterinary medicine.  She has been participating in various “equitarian” projects in Central and South America for the past 17 years and worked as a relief vet at the American Fondouk, a working equid hospital, in Fez, Morocco.  Dr. Tinkler has a particular interest in supporting sustainable veterinary program development for working equids and their care-givers in the developing world along with managing complicated medicine cases in the clinic at Purdue – a dual life to be sure!  When she is not working, she loves to be outside, to travel and loves how animals and their care unite and bond people from all over the globe.
