Intro to Online Teaching: Mini Boot Camp
Have you ever thought of moving some of your teaching online but don't know where to start?
The Centre fro Life-Long Learning has planned two half days over the break to introduce UPEI faculty to some of the possibilities. Faculty from across campus have been invited to showcase what they are doing online. There will also be support staff to give you a sense of what services you can use to help you get started.
The session will be held in MacDougall Hall, room 328. Light refreshments will be provided.
There is no cost for the session, but faculty are invited to register with the Centre for Life Long Learning via email Lisa Mackinnon-Laybolt at lmmackinnon@upei.ca.

Junior Recitals
Join the Department of Music for an evening of junior recitals entitled "Sing Me a Story" featuring third year students Nadine Haddad, soprano, and Morgan Wagner, soprano, assisted by Frances McBurnie, piano.
The recital will include works by J. S. Bach, Enrique Granados, Henry Purcell, Richard Strauss, Gioacchino Rossini, Antonio Vivaldi, and Hugo Wolf, as well as traditional and jazz selections.
The recital is free and all are welcome to attend.

Senior Recital
Join the Department of Music for a senior recital on March 24, 2013 with Echo Lau on piano.
The program will include Chopin's Sonata no.3 in B minor, Debussy's L’isle Joyeuse, and Ravel's Concerto in G, accompanied by Dr. Frances Gray. Echo has represented PEI in the National Music Festival and has twice been awarded the Rose Bowl at the PEI Kiwanis Music Festival.
The recital is free and all are welcome to attend.

AVC Seminar Series Presentation
The next seminar in the series being presented at AVC for 2012-2013 will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 3:00 pm in room 287N, McCain Foundation Learning Commons.
Dr. David Sims, Professor of Microscopic Anatomy in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, AVC will present "AVC’s Amazing Quality Assurance Program".
This presentation will overview the history of the Quality Assurance Program, introduce its people, demonstrate virtual microscopy, and discuss the implications of operating an entrepreneurial program within an academic setting.
