Family Friendly Event (for students/staff/faculty with kids)

New students, current students, as well as recently graduated students, who have children, as well as staff and faculty at UPEI who have kids are invited to bring their children to the UPEI Family Friendly event. Pregnant students are also welcome to attend! This is a great opportunity for students who are caregivers to children to network with each other, staff and faculty members, and learn the support systems available to them and ask questions to other students who are also parenting! There will be a "hunt" at noon (like an easter egg hunt), and Pride will be coming from 1:00 - 3:00 pm, (you can take pictures with Pride), we'll also be showing a movie and will have crafts and snacks.

Special Public Event: What's In Your Drink?

UPEI is hosting a special event and panel discussion for students, to help address the issue of drink tampering and the question of what to do if you suspect your drink has been drugged.  Victims are not responsible for their drinks being drugged nor are they responsible to prevent the situations that can arise from this illegal behaviour. But you and your friends can equip yourselves with the know-how to avoid a dangerous situation and to stay as safe as possible. Join us at a public discussion featuring panelists from the medical, legal, and law enforcement communities. These experts will help guide you about what to do if you suspect your or your friends’ drinks have been tampered with. They will explain the reporting process and describe the services available for victims.
