Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. UPEI Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for September 12–18 are Brinten Comeau (women’s rugby) and Duncan Murray (men’s soccer).
Some Hellish, the debut novel by Prince Edward Island writer Nicholas Herring, will be launched at a public event on Thursday, October 13, at 7:00 pm at The Gallery Coffee House and Bistro at 82 Great George Street in Charlottetown. Sponsored by the UPEI Faculty of Arts and Department of English, the book launch will feature short readings by Herring and a conversation with Richard Lemm, author and Atlantic Canadian literature professor at UPEI.

This year’s Charlottetown Terry Fox Run will take place at the University of Prince Edward Island Alumni Canada Games Place track. Reilly Sullivan, a fourth-year biology student and a member of the Panthers women’s basketball team, is organizing this year’s event.
Students, staff, and faculty were informed on Wednesday, September 14, that UPEI will observe a one-time statutory holiday on September 19 in observance of a National Day of Mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
