It's time for some noon-time fresh air, and to try to launch a new UPEI
club with an easy, friendly, group ride Tuesday, April 16 and Thursday, April
18.
Meet at the campus clock at 12:30 for an inaugural group ride.
No-drop policy (five-minute rule applies), we will head outbound on the
Confederation Trail and decide where to go from there, maybe road/maybe trail--
depends upon skill and fitness levels of who shows up. Plan for an hour or so of
fresh air and fun.
Required equipment: a bike, a helmet, and a smile.
contact: Dr. Andrew Trivett, atrivett@upei.ca
There will be a special seminar in the Biology Department next

research encompasses both the water chemistry and biology of Arctic
lakes.

Further to last year's Employee Engagement Survey and subsequent discussion
by the Healthy Campus Committee, the Healthy Campus Committee has
recommended that sessions be offered on Creating and Maintaining a
Respectful Workplace at UPEI. While the survey results were encouraging for
the University, this was identified as an area where some training would be
useful to further support efforts of the Committee to encourage a positive
and engaging workplace environment. This is especially important in
uncertain and challenging times when emotions can be more fragile.
As such, Jan Link, former Fair Treatment advisor with UPEI will be
facilitating several sessions over the coming months. These sessions will
be divided into two streams, given the separate responsibilities that exist
for managers/supervisors and employees.
For more details on the sessions for all staff and faculty, please visit
the Notices section of the HR website:
http://hr.upei.ca
Thank you and we look forward to great sessions and the chance to spend
some time learning together.

Director, Human Resources
