UPEI moves over to a new and improved version of Moodle on Monday, August 5. Please note that all current courses will remain at the address old-moodle.upei.ca
There will be a link at the top of moodle.upei.ca called "Old Moodle" where you will also be able to access your courses. Please note that when you want to move your old courses into the New Moodle you will need to go through the backup and restore process.
To learn how to do the backup and restore process, and to get an idea of the new features, please have a look at the UPEI New Moodle Features playlist at: youtube.com/eloatupei
We will continue to offer more support throughout the rollout process and hope to make the process as convenient as possible. All questions from faculty and staff should be directed to: moodle@upei.ca
We will have a water shutdown of K.C. Irving Chemistry Centre, washrooms only, on Thursday, August 1 from 7:00–9:30 am. This shutdown is necessary to tie-in a water line for the new lab currently under construction. Washrooms are available in the Robertson Library, Duffy Science Centre, or Andrew Hall.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jackie MacPhail at 566-6034 or jmacphail@upei.ca

The Federation of Canadian Music Festivals will host the 2013 National Competition August 8 - 10 at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario. It is exciting for Prince Edward Island to be sending three solo competitors to this prestigious national festival. All three are students of the Department of Music at UPEI.
Echo Lau, piano, a student of Dr. Frances Gray, graduated this spring with her bachelor of music.
Branden Kelly is entering his fourth year as a percussion major and studies with David Shephard.
Lucas MacPhail, a student of Kevin MacLean, is entering his third year as a saxophone performer.
They will be competing with other talented musicians chosen from provincial competitions in each province.
All three of these wonderful young musicians can be heard in recital on Sunday, July 28, 7:30 in the evening at the Dr. Steel Recital Hall, UPEI campus. Echo will be accompanied both here and in Waterloo by Frances Gray. Branden and Lucas will be accompanied by Frances McBurnie.
Admission will be by donation, to assist Echo, Branden, and Lucas with expenses as they travel to Waterloo for this competition.
