Classical guitarist Tim Sherren, from Nine Mile Creek, PEI, will be performing on Sunday, March 17 at 7:30 pm. Tim began studying classical guitar in April 2008 with Dr. Jim Dickson and is now studying with Paul Bernard. Tim will be graduating this spring from UPEI with a bachelor of music in guitar performance. His recital will feature works by Bach, Tarrega, Dominiconi and Albeniz,Villa-lobos. Jazz guitarist Nik Dragatakis will be performing jazz classics by Kenny Wheeler, Jimmy VanHeusen, Wayne Shorter, and Bobby Timmons. His trio will feature Isaac Williams on bass and Patrick LeClair on drums. Nik will also be joined by guest performers Robyn Verhoeven on trumpet and Dan Rowswell on alto saxophone. Did you know that all of these benefits weren’t just physical? This workshop is geared to motivate others to bring the concepts applied in yoga class, off the mat and into their everyday lives. No previous yoga experience or a mat are required for this workshop. Counselling 101: What really happens behind closed doors? Location: Student Affairs, Boardroom A Time: 2:30–3:30 pm What really happens in counselling? Is it for me? Will it help my friend? Counselling as a process seems to bring a lot of questions for people. This conversation-based workshop, hosted by a counsellor with Student Affairs is intended for students, staff and faculty who have questions on counselling.
