As an instructor, you’ve set up a syllabus that clearly explains your expectations for where students will end up. Then you set them on the journey to that destination. However, some will get off track along the way. The information you provide, how you provide it and when you provide it will be key to getting them back on the right path or in keeping them on the right path. In this workshop instructors will learn strategies for the use of feedback and rubrics that they can use to accompany student assessments. This workshop takes place on Wednesday, June 5th from 10:30 to 11:30 am in Room 265 of the Robertson Library. REGISTER

We've all deleted something accidentally, panic and frustration sets in immediately. Worry not, in many cases the file can be retrieved from the recycle bin:

1. Look in the trash bin (just double click and drag it back).

2. Recover using file history. If you have turned on File History Backup. If you're running Windows* 10, select the Start button, select Settings > Update & security > Backup > Add a drive and choose an external drive or network location for your backups.
To Restore; type restore files in the search box on the taskbar and select Restore your files with File History.
Look for the file you need, then use the arrows to see all its versions.
When you find the version you want, select Restore to save it somewhere safe.

If you have questions about backing up your work or recovering data from your computer please call the help desk. We're here to help Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. 902 566 0465

The University of Prince Edward Island competes every year for millions of dollars in research funding from various granting agencies.

The research activities at UPEI require the service and support of university infrastructure. Canada’s tri-council of federal granting agencies, consisting of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), have recognized the importance of this infrastructure and the potential financial burden it represents to universities. In response, the tri-council has created the Research Support Fund.

The Research Support Fund has been instrumental in advancing strategic research initiatives at UPEI. Although the allocation only partially covers the cost of maintaining and growing the research enterprise, UPEI develops annual performance objectives, indicators, and target outcomes.

For highlights of some of the benefits, see UPEI's Research Support Fund page.

The campus community is invited to join Mr. Chris Halyk, President, Janssen Inc.; Dr. Alaa Abd-El-Aziz, President and Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Kathy Gottschall-Pass, Interim Vice-President Academic and Research; and Dr. William Montelpare, Professor and Margaret and Wallace McCain Chair in Human Development and Health, as they announce the Janssen - Prince Edward Island Health Innovation Partnership on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall. This collaboration will focus on Real World Evidence projects that involve data access/generation aimed at understanding and improving the PEI health system and patient outcomes. All are welcome.
