Thought of moving some of your teaching online but don't know where to
start?
We've planned two, half days over the break to introduce you to some of the
possibilities. Faculty from around campus have been invited to show you
what they are doing online. There will also be support staff to give you a
sense of what services you can use to help you get started.
The sessions will take place from 1:00-4:30 pm on February 19 and 9:00 am-
12:30 pm on the morning of February 20. The sessions will be held in
McDougall Hall 328 with light refreshments provided.
There is no cost for the sessions, but faculty are invited to register with
the Centre for Life-Long Learning via email Lisa Mackinnon-Laybolt at
lmmackinnon@upei.ca
We also want to make it clear that the session is divided in two parts and
are both meant to be attended.

On Thursday, February 14, UPEI will join ONE BILLION RISING—the
global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. The
campus community is invited to dance together to support the movement.
Where: McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre
When: 12:15–1:00 pm
ONE BILLION RISING began as a call to action based on the staggering
statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during
her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more
than one billion women and girls. One billion women and those who love them
will walk out, dance, rise up, and demand an end to this violence. Learn
more at www.onebillionrising.org.
In celebration of Valentine's Day and the ONE BILLION RISING movement the
Student Alumni Association will be providing a hot chocolate bar during the
event.
