Time to Write Retreat, October 10 to 13 

Time to Write retreats offer concentrated time to support your writing efforts and can be instrumental in the initiation or completion of scholarly work such as an article, book or book chapter, grant proposal, curriculum or OER development, conference presentations, or other scholarly, creative projects. Time to work on writing projects away from home and campus for a few days can be incredibly productive.

Moodle honour agreements workshop

When conducting assessments, clear communication of expectations can help your students perform their work with a clear understanding of what academic integrity means in your course. This session will cover some approaches for setting up clear and concise honour agreements and building the requirements into your Moodle assessments. The session will take place in the Teaching and Learning Centre (located in the Robertson Library Annex) on September 19 from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

SEASON PREVIEW: UPEI Cross Country looking forward to a great 2023

UPEI’s Cross Country program has taken massive strides in recent years, including earning all-star selections in back-to-back seasons and welcoming runners from across the conference for their first turn as hosts of the AUS Championships.

It’s a lot to be proud of, but the team is looking to accomplish even more in 2023.

“We’re looking for more consistency from our runners this season,” said Panthers head coach Mike Peterson. “Success in our sport comes from stacking weeks, months, and years together until you are consistently relevant. That’s what we’re after.”

Atlantic Veterinary College performs great white shark necropsy for first time

Dr. Megan Jones, of the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), couldn’t believe she had a great white shark on her post-mortem table, prepped for a necropsy—the first white shark to be necropsied at AVC.

Discovered on Greenwich Beach on the north shore of Prince Edward Island on August 7, the shark weighed almost 500 pounds and measured close to nine feet.

SEASON PREVIEW: Looking for more: Women’s Rugby Panthers prepared to defend championship title in 2023

As the start of the new rugby season nears, the UPEI Women’s Rugby Panthers are focused and determined to defend the AUS championship title they captured last season.

Ever since they carried that banner back to UPEI, the Panthers have embraced their championship identity, and now they’re hungry for more and are on a mission to preserve their reign on top.

“We are going to keep the ball rolling and do what we know best: to give our all,” said AUS all-star and U SPORTS all-Canadian Emily Duffy.
