Obesity in Canada: Historical Perspectives
Dr. Ellison is a historian whose work to date has revolved around "fat activist" women's groups of the 1980s in Canada. She is deeply involved in the emerging interdisciplinary field of Fat Studies. She earned her PhD from York University in Toronto, and is presently the W.P. Bell Postdoctoral Scholar at Mount Alllison University.

Renowned Animal Behaviorist to speak at AVC
On Wednesday, November 28, Dr. Karen Overall will present "Introduction to veterinary behavioral medicine" at the Atlantic Veterinary College, Lecture Theatre A, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
One of the foremost authorities in behavioral medicine in the world, Dr. Overall is also the editor-in-chief of The Journal of Veterinary Behavior and is the author of hundreds of articles and three textbooks on animal behavior. She is a popular and sought-after speaker on behavior topics.

Festive Coffee Break
