Members of the campus community are invited to a population health project showcase hosted by nursing students on December 5, 2023, from 2:00--4:00 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre. Twenty groups of fourth-year UPEI nursing students in the Nursing and Population Health 4010 course have been working with agencies across PEI this semester to create innovative projects and programs to promote health and wellness. During the showcase, they will present their projects to their community agency partners and other guests.

December 3 is recognized as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It was first proclaimed by the United Nations (UN) in 1992, following the International Year of the Disabled Person in 1981 and the UN Decade of Disabled Persons, 1983–1992.

Dr. Greg Keefe, UPEI’s interim president and vice-chancellor, and fourth-year political science student Antwaun Rolle invite members of the campus community to the first annual raising of the Flag of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at UPEI in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. The flag raising will take place on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 12:00 pm (noon) at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building.
