Resume Writing Workshop
Are you unsure of how to write an effective resume? Maybe you've been applying for jobs but not hearing back from employers? Join Experiential Education staff for a one-hour workshop with advice and tips on how to best communicate your skills and experience to an employer.
This workshop will take place in a computer lab, so students can start or update an electronic copy of their resume during the workshop.
New dean holds reception to meet members of the AVC community
Dr. Dominique Griffon, the new dean of the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), hosted a well-attended reception in AVC's McCain Learning Commons on January 29. This marked the first time she met with faculty, staff, and students since taking on her new position earlier in the month.
International Women's Day
March 8 is International Women's Day. It’s a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done.
Join us on March 8, 2024, for International Women’s Day under the theme Invest in women: Accelerate progress, and take a stand with us using the hashtag #InvestInWomen.

I would like to begin by expressing gratitude to those in Facilities Management, IT Systems and Services, Residence Services, the Atlantic Veterinary College, and other areas, who have been tirelessly and, in some cases, working around the clock throughout the storm to keep campus safe and necessary operations running.

Lauren Rainford and Jonah Capriotti named UPEI Panther Athletes of the Week
Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The UPEI Panther Athletes of the Week for January 29–February 5, 2024, are Lauren Rainford (women’s basketball) and Jonah Capriotti (men’s hockey).
Rainford is an education student from Toronto, Ontario. She filled the stat sheet in the Panthers’ February 3 win over the Dalhousie University Tigers. The fourth-year guard scored a game-high 20 points with seven rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and two steals.

The UPEI Board of Governors is committed to improving governance and developing processes and practices that place the University on a sound footing as it continues to respond to and act on the University of Prince Edward Island Review and moves forward with a new president and vice-chancellor in 2024.
UPEI students encouraged to attend on-campus stem cell swabbing event February 7 and 8
Canadian Blood Services and the UPEI Student Union are encouraging students to attend a stem cell swabbing event on February 7 from 11:00 am–1:00 pm and February 8 from 12:00–2:00 pm at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.
Members of the UPEI campus community between the ages of 17 to 35 can register to become a stem cell donor and potentially be a match for one of the nearly 1,000 Canadian patients waiting for a lifesaving stem cell transplant.
