Alumni Summer Reunion Golf Outing
Join UPEI Alumni to celebrate the reunion season with an alumni golf outing! Each ticket covers 18 holes of golf, cart rental, and a $10 gift card to Lone Oak for refreshments. Participants can either sign up indicating their pre-planned team of four or sign up individually and request to be put on a team. The first tee time begins at 9:00 am. Milestone class members who purchase tickets and attend will also receive a complimentary alumni golf gift.

Action Plan IMPACT: Celebrating our commitment to restorative justice and keeping it alive
On June 11, UPEI celebrated 12 employees who completed the Restorative Practices Capacity-Building Program. Over four months, these practitioners developed restorative justice skills through eight bi-weekly Reflective Learning sessions and two Training-for-Facilitators workshops. Another 100 senior leaders and middle managers attended a half-day workshop where they gained foundational knowledge in restorative practices.
Music and the Mind Maritimes- Implications for Music Education and for Wellbeing conference
The members of the UPEI Music Cognition Laboratory are hosting their 6th annual Music and the Mind-Maritimes conference today. Join us for presentations, audience interaction, and music from the disciplines of psychology, music, education, and health. Presenters include students, professional researchers, music educators, and health professionals from UPEI and several other Maritime and Ontario universities. The keynote speech by Dr. Betty-Anne Younker, former Dean of Music at Western University, will take place at 11:20 am.

Stepping into the role: How standardized patients help shape health education
At the University of Prince Edward Island, community members are helping shape the next generation of health care professionals. Through the standardized patient (SP) program, housed within the UPEI Faculty of Medicine, trained participants work alongside learners from medicine, nursing, and other health disciplines to create realistic patient interactions that build confidence, communication skills, and empathy.
