The monthly meeting of the UPEI & Friends Neuroscience Journal Club will be held on Friday December 8, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in the "fishbowl" of the Duffy Research Centre (NRC). All neuroscience research students as well as faculty, scientists and staff with an interest in neuroscience topics are welcome to attend. Every spring, the University of Prince Edward Island holds Convocation ceremonies to celebrate and award degrees and diplomas to its graduating students. The Convocation ceremonies are held indoors at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre at the University of Prince Edward Island, 550 University Avenue in Charlottetown. The first ceremony begins at 10:00 am and the second one begins at 2:30 pm, after graduates have proudly walked in a procession across campus. UPEI Convocation website

A webinar on using social presence to establish a community of inquiry in an online space. La Dawna Minnis and Jason Hogan will be discussing how social presence plays an important role in face-to-face, blended, and online courses and going through examples for introducing and developing social presence in online environments.
