President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz invites you to the
University's first annual Donor Picnic on Wednesday, September 25 at 11:30
am in the quadrangle, front of Main Building. The Donor Picnic is one of
the many ways UPEI is celebrating its donors - please join us! (Rain
location: The McCain Foundation Learning Commons at AVC.)

Members of the University campus are saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Keir Adams, one of the founding members of the Department of Chemistry who taught from 1969-1994. Professor Adams is resting at Belvedere Funeral Home where visiting hours will be held Wednesday, September 18, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm and the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 19 at 10:00 am.
UPEI will host approximately 750 Canadian Student Leadership Conference
(CSLC) delegates and 250 advisors on Friday, September 20. UPEI faculty and
staff are encouraged to attend a gathering from 1:00–2:00 pm on Friday in
Schurman Market Square to meet some of the CSLC advisors.
The CSLC’s mission is to “promote and develop student leadership within
Canadian high schools.” Throughout the conference, students will attend a
series of workshops to further develop their leadership skills, build
confidence, and discover new ideas to help them make a difference in their
schools and communities.
UPEI welcomes all CSLC participants and wishes them luck in their future
endeavours!
The UPEI Department of Music Recital Series 2013-2014 is pleased to present
A Cornucopia of Music featuring David Parker, horn; Frances Gray, piano;
Morgan Saulnier, flute on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 7:30 pm in the
Dr. Steel Recital, UPEI campus. Admission is $15 adults/$10 students and

Kitchen Party on Friday, September 27 at Peakes Quay. A reception and
silent auction will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by a delicious lobster
dinner served at 6:30. Funds raised will directly support the
student-athlete experience via athletic awards, professional training,
elite exhibition schedules, and more.
Tickets are available for $40 per seat, or $320 per table of eight. To
purchase a ticket or to find out how you can donate auction items, please
