UPEI is launching the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program’s UPEI Panther Pitch, in which aspiring UPEI student entrepreneurs can submit their start-up idea for a chance to win a minimum of $5,000 in seed money, with up to a total of $45,000 being granted each year.

We’re looking for interested UPEI faculty and staff members to help mentor the student teams. Mentors will need to commit around one hour per week from late January until March 2021. This will be dependent on the needs of the student team and the mentor’s availability.

Working in pairs, mentors will provide weekly advice and guidance to a single student team.  The mentors will act as the team’s sounding board and provide professional and common-sense feedback.  The intent is to have one mentor from within the UPEI community and one mentor from the broader community for each team.

Those interested in mentoring a team should email hwm_startups@upei.ca no later than Friday, January 8.

Please share this information with your network if you know of any potential mentors from UPEI and/or the local community.
