Sync or Swim
UPEI's Synchronized Swimming Team presents "Sync or Swim." Join the UPEI community for a night filled with spectacular swimming, showcasing PEI's most talented synchronized swimmers. The event will also feature a one time only performance from some of your favorite UPEI male varsity athletes! You will not want to miss this show!
Tickets can be purchased from any UPEI Synchro athlete and will be on sale at Mickey's Place in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre from Monday, January 28 - Wednesday, January 30.

VIP $15 (on deck seating and underwater video)
All money raised from this event will go towards travel and training expenses as the team prepares for nationals which will be held February 9 and 10 in London Ontario.
AVC SCAVMA: Animal Rescue Workshop
The AVC Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association presents an "Animal Rescue Workshop" on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.
This hands-on workshop will provide participants with a basic understanding of the role of an animal rescue response team during a disaster. Featuring lectures from the Oceanographic Environmental Research Society and the Atlantic Veterinary College, and a simulated search exercise.
Registration: $40.00 (lectures and exercise); $20.00 (lectures only)
Student rate: $20.00 (lectures and exercises); $10.00 (lectures only)
Deadline: Wednesday, January 30
Space for the exercise is limited. Breakfast and lunch are included. This event is restricted to AVC students and staff only.

Leadership Development Speakers Series
Sister Sue Kidd, UPEI Chaplain, will deliver the first talk in the UPEI University 100 Vern Smitheram and Andy Robb Leadership Development Speakers Series, on the theme of "Leadership, A Call to Service".
This talk will take place on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 1:00-2:15 pm. After her talk, Sister Sue will be delighted to answer questions and engage in conversation. All members of the campus community are invited to attend and the talk is open to the public.
The Vern Smitheram and Andy Robb Leadership Development Speakers Series is an initiative to engage students and the community in important conversations about the theory and practice of leadership.
PITCH101: PEI's 60 second Pitch Event
On Friday, February 1, UPEI will host Invest Atlantic's PITCH101 in partnership with the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce, Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and Innovation PEI. This is one of a series of bridging events throughout Atlantic Canada providing a forum to carry the momentum for young entrepreneurs, students, investors, mentors and service professionals between Invest Atlantic conferences.

Piano Recital featuring Julien LeBlanc
As a part of the UPEI Music Department Recital Series will present Canadian pianist Julien LeBlanc.
Julien LeBlanc was Artist in Residence at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton from 2005 until 2009. He holds a post-graduate Diploma in Accompaniment from the Royal Academy of Music (London, UK), a Doctorate in piano performance from Université de Montréal as well as an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School (Toronto, ON) where he studied with André Laplante.
Renowned for his great musical sensibility and his talent as a communicator Julien will present a solo recital featuring the works of Scarlatti, Schumann and Ravel.
Tickets are $15/$10 (students/seniors) and will be available at the door.
