Waivers​

A waiver is a legal contract between an adult individual participant attending a program or event and the organization delivering that program or event, and can be a valuable risk management tool to help limit the organization’s liability. The Contracts and Insurance Office can assist University faculties, department, and administrative units with the development and administration of waivers and informed consents.

DO NOT alter the University's standard waivers without the express written permission of the Contracts and Insurance Office.

Invitee Access Agreements

Visiting Student

From time to time, students or other individuals not directly affiliated with UPEI are granted access to UPEI facilities for a determined period of time. To address the issue of any potential liability resulting from the "invitee" accessing UPEI facilities, invitee access agreement templates have been prepared to govern the access. Your cooperation in using these agreements to mitigate the risk for this type of activity is appreciated.
