Research Ethics Board (REB) applications involving "more than minimal risk" must be reviewed by the full UPEI REB. The next deadline for submitting these protocols is Friday, May 31, 2024, for review at the June meeting.
Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve more than minimal risk, renewals, and amendments, may be submitted at any time. They will be sent for delegated review as soon as all necessary materials are received.
All research compliance applications, including for the REB, must be submitted through the UPEI Researcher Portal (https://upei.researchservicesoffice.com/Romeo.Researcher/). Instructions for using the site are available at https://www.upei.ca/research-services/forms.

On Wednesday, May 29, ITSS will conduct routine maintenance on the myUPEI portal and related services from 8:00 pm to midnight. During this time, there may be intermittent access to and performance issues with myUPEI, Self-Service, and Colleague.
We encourage students, faculty, and staff who may need documents or links located on myUPEI to plan ahead and bookmark or download the resources they may need during this period.

CEWIL Canada is currently seeking applications through their iHub program for Fall 2024. Applications for this funding round are due on June 14, 2024. UPEI's Experiential Education department has submitted nine successful applications across past rounds of funding and would love to support new projects.

The UPEI Health and Wellness Centre is undergoing a "refresh" of its strategic plan and would like to obtain input from students who interact with or use the health centre. We are planning to host two sessions for students on May 24. There will be a virtual session from 9:00-11:00 am and an in-person session in the Health and Wellness Centre boardroom (#238), 2nd floor, W.A. Murphy Student Centre from 12:00-2:00 pm. Lunch will be served.
The sessions will be facilitated by Rebecca Gill, Director of Strategic Priorities and Policy Development, Faculty of Medicine, UPEI. During the session, we will discuss what works well at the health centre for patients, what could be improved, and what it should focus on over the next three to five years.

Registration is now open for UPEI Summer Studios 2024, a five-day chamber music experience for motivated young brass, woodwind, percussion, and piano students aged 14-18, taking place Tuesday, July 2, to Saturday, July 6 in the UPEI Steel Building. Students participate in private lessons, small ensembles, workshops, masterclasses, and performances under the guidance of our world-class faculty. The days run from 9 am to 3 pm; participants will need to bring a lunch.
