A great opportunity to join your co-workers in a friendly activity challenge for eight weeks in the winter. This challenge will help keep you active at a time when we would ALL like to hibernate. UPEI Recreation has a number of user-pay fitness programs set for the new year which will help shed those 'extra' holiday pounds. We have cycling classes which include our 'Cardio Cycle' as well as our new 'Spin 'n' Speed' program and 'C3 - Cycling, Conditioning, and Cooling Down.' Samuel's and Atlantic Veterinary College locations have resumed regular hours of operation. Samuel's (in the Robertson Library): Monday to Thursday - 8:00 am to 9:00 pm & Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm AVC: Monday to Friday - 8:00 am to 3:30 pm The Courtyard Café was scheduled to resume regular hours of operation on January 3 at 8:00 am. The Island Lecture Series February lecture features a lecture by Dr. Ed MacDonald (History): The Goose and the Golden Egg: The Environmental Turn in Island Tourism, 1970-1990. Based on Dr. MacDonald's forthcoming history of Island tourism, the lecture explores how the Island's natural landscape became a tourist asset. Admission is free and all are welcome.
