University Awards of Excellence
UPEI annually acknowledges individuals for their outstanding contributions to the success of the university.
The awards are valued at $1,000 each and given in recognition of excellence of faculty, librarians, clinical veterinary professionals, clinical nursing instructors, sessional instructors, and staff members.

The University Awards Committee is chaired by the Director of Human Resources; and is composed of the Vice-President, Academic and Research; the Vice-President, People and Culture; two (2) faculty members appointed annually by the Vice-President, Academic and Research; and, two (2) staff members appointed annually by the Vice-President, People and Culture. The University Awards Committee reviews applications and recommends award recipients to the President.

Nominations are now open! Submit your nomination by Friday, February 28, 2025 to universityawards@upei.ca.
The University Awards of Excellence will be presented at a gathering of faculty and staff in May each year.
