The International Student Office is hosting UPEI's annual Global Village in the W.A. Murohy Student Centre on Saturday, March 9, starting at 11:00 am! Global Village is a celebration of the multiculturalism and diversity that exists on campus, so students from all over the world showcase their culture and traditions, as well as help encourage cultural sensitivity and a global perspective.

The day will be broken up into two parts. The first part will be an exhibition that will run from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. The different countries will showcase their countries, cultures, and traditions. Each country (or community) will have a table on which they will display anything they feel represents them. This could be food, cultural artefacts, or anything the representatives feel illustrates their culture best.

The second part will consist of a fashion show and performances beginning at 3:30 pm. In the fashion show, students will showcase their clothes/traditional attire. For the performances, we would love participants to come up with their own unique and creative performances that will highlight their unique cultural heritage within their given time slot.
