Internal Gen AI and Assessment Innovations Research Grant

The Internal Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) and Assessment Research Grant supports research pursuits that explore innovative approaches to the use of Gen AI in the assessment of student learning at UPEI. Researchers are encouraged to provide high-quality student training opportunities if possible.

VALUE: The successful applicant will receive one course release in the Winter 2024 semester and a budget of $2,000 to carry out the work of the project.

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

Tenured, tenure track, and term UPEI faculty in Arts, AVC, Business, Education, IKERAS, Nursing, Science, or Sustainable Design Engineering; librarians; and lab instructors who are employed by UPEI at the time of application and for the duration of the award. A professor emeritus or adjunct professor may apply as co-applicant with a tenure/tenure-track UPEI faculty member. Successful applicants must adhere to the Spending Authority Policy.  Please review the general information below for other eligibility considerations.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The grant supports one teaching release and the direct costs of research, e.g., research assistance, operating expenses, research travel/subsistence, manuscript preparation, materials, and supplies, etc.
