If you find the Delete button at the top of your inbox is dangerously close to Archive, you can move it further away. 

At the end of that row you'll see three dots ... with more options, click on them; and at the bottom is Customize. Within that, you can rearrange your Button Ribbon as you like simply by dragging them around using the six gray dots at the left edge of each button.
