AVC currently has a male beagle named Tony available for adoption. He is five years old, neutered, and vaccinated; a dental cleaning will be included with his adoption. He is incredibly affectionate with humans and will make a great companion. We truly believe that he will blossom in the right home.

Tony has a history of being reactive to other animals, and he may or may not learn to move past this in the future. He has never bitten any other animals but does sometimes react aggressively towards certain other beagles. Currently, he is on medication to help with his anxiety. This may or may not need to be continued long-term or potentially life-long. He has had absolutely no issues with people. A once-monthly behavioural consultation will be included for a six-month term following adoption as well a three-month supply of medication.

Tony would thrive in a house with a family that is able to work through some behaviour modification (as outlined by our behaviourist). It is preferable that he is not placed in a home that has other pets or a family with which other pets are around often.
