Notice from Facilities Management –Power Shutdown

As part of the new residence building construction project, we will be required to have a power shutdown. This power shutdown is necessary to bring permanent power to the new building.

This shutdown is scheduled for Thursday, November 11, 2021 beginning at 7:00am and is expected to take approximately 4 hours to complete, however some buildings will have power restored throughout the process.

The emergency power generators will be started for each building prior to the power interruption beginning, which will mean there will be no delay of power for anything currently on emergency power when the power is disconnected.

The schedule of power interruptions and associated buildings are listed below, this schedule may be required to be changed as we progress through the stages. 

7:00am the following buildings will have the power shutdown.

Dalton Hall, Robertson Library, K.C. Irving Chemistry Centre, Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall, Andrew Hall, Bernardine Hall, Blanchard Hall, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Cass Science Hall, Duffy Science Centre and Memorial Hall.

Approximately 8:30am the following buildings will have power restored.

Dalton Hall, Robertson Library, K.C. Irving Chemistry Centre and Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall.

Between 8:00am – 9:00am the following buildings will have the power shutdown.

Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre and the Atlantic Veterinary College.

Approximately 30 minutes after the above power shutdown begins the power will be restored to the Atlantic Veterinary College.

The following buildings will have the power restored when all the above has been completed.

Regis and Joan Duffy Research Centre, Memorial Hall, Cass Science Hall, Duffy Science Centre, Don and Marion McDougall Hall, Andrew Hall, Bernardine Hall and Blanchard Hall.
