Abstract: In this session you will learn about the design and costing of a  Guaranteed Basic Income program in Canada (sometimes referred as  Universal Income) which was part of the most recent budget of the federal  government of Canada in April 2021 and of its potential challenges as well  as the roles of actuaries in the various phases of its implementation.
