It is with great sadness that UPEI announces that Ewoma Michael Okah, a student in the Faculty of Business, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in Charlottetown.

The University has been in touch with Michael’s family and friends and extends sincere condolences to them in Nigeria and here on the Island. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts as they mourn this devastating loss. Flags at the University have been lowered to half-mast in Michael’s memory. Details for a vigil being planned by the community will be shared as soon as they become available.
