Flags at UPEI will be flown at half-mast on Sunday, September 26, 2021, to commemorate Police and Peace Officers' National Memorial Day.

In 1998, the Government of Canada officially proclaimed the last Sunday of September as a national memorial day to give Canadians an opportunity to formally express appreciation for the dedication of police and peace officers, and to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in keeping communities safe.
