The Island Lecture Series April session celebrates Poetry Month and features two Island poets in conversation with a third. Laurie Brinklow and Bren Simmers will read from their new books, My Island’s the house I sleep in at night (Island Studies Press, 2021) and If, When (Gaspereau Press, 2021), in a conversation hosted by Richard Lemm. Topics range from the role of story, place, and history in their poetry to their own poetic practices. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.
