To all users of UPEI Researcher Portal,

Please be advised that some of the UPEI Researcher Portal's online forms will be updated on December 12, 2020.  Application and event forms created before Dec 12, 2020, using the older versions of the forms will be processed as usual.  However, after Dec 12, 2020, all forms must be submitted using the new, most current version. The titles of all revised forms will include “rev Dec 2020”. The titles of the older form versions will include “DO NOT USE”.

After Dec 12, 2020, submitting a newly created application and event forms using the older versions will not be accepted.

The following forms will be revised to correct minor errors, improve clarity, and in some cases, modify information requests. 

The following newly revised Application Forms include:

• Research Funding Administrative Approvals Form for CONTRACTS (rev Dec 2020)
• Research Funding Administrative Approvals Form for GRANTS (rev Dec 2020)
• Application for Biosafety Permit (rev Dec 2020)
• AUP Research Form (rev Dec 2020)
• AUP Teaching Form (rev Dec 2020)
• AUP Service Form (rev Dec 2020)

The following newly revised Event Forms include:

• Research Renewal (rev Dec 2020)
• Research Major Amendment (rev Dec 2020)
• Research Minor Amendment (rev Dec 2020)
• Teaching Renewal (rev Dec 2020)
• Teaching Major Amendment (rev Dec 2020)
• Teaching Minor Amendment (rev Dec 2020)
• Service Renewal (rev Dec 2020)
• Service Major Amendment (rev Dec 2020)
• Service Minor Amendment (rev Dec 2020)

The following new Applications Forms will be added to the system:

• Non-Funded Agreement Approval Form - This new form will be used for new and original agreements that are non-funded, such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Confidentiality and Disclosure Agreements (CDA),  Material Transfer Agreements (MTA), or Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).  The input fields have been simplified for these agreements. 
• Animal Transfer Form – This new form is to be used to transfer animals between protocols.

The following new Events Form will be added to the system:

• Funding form subsequent to CDA, NDA, MOU, MTA – This form is designed to capture data after an original application for the above Non-funded agreements.
