Flags lowered to half-mast in honour of Father Charlie

The University of Prince Edward Island lost a great friend in the Reverend Joseph Charles "Father Charlie" Cheverie, LLD when he passed away on August 31, 2019.
In a statement to the University community on September 1, UPEI President and Vice-Chancellor Alaa Abd-El-Aziz expressed condolences to Father Charlie's family, friends and colleagues, and described his immense impact. The flags at the University will fly at half-mast in Father Charlie’s honour until after his funeral on Thursday, September 5 at 10:00 am at Saint Dunstan’s Basilica in Charlottetown. Visitation is also at Saint Dunstan’s Basilica from 2:00–7:30 pm on Wednesday, September 4. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hennessey Cutcliffe Funeral Home. Read the obituary
