The Synapse Innovators of the Year awards were created to honour individuals associated with UPEI (student, staff, faculty, or alumni) who have made a distinct contribution to their community through research, design, and/or service that has addressed a challenge and demonstrated a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and/or the welfare of society.

Individuals may also receive this award if the individual has made a significant contribution to innovation as determined by the selection committee.

The Awards will be presented at the Innovation Celebration on the UPEI campus on Wednesday, September 25.
