Getting Organized

If you are studying from another time zone, you may want to view your calendar in UPEI's local time. You will have to pay close attention when scheduling and ensure that you are putting information into your calendar accurately while accounting for any time differences.

UPEI SAFE App

UPEI SAFE is the university’s safety app and mass notification system which helps UPEI advise the campus community about storm closures and safety issues. All members of the UPEI community - students, faculty, staff, family, and friends - are encouraged to download the app.

  • Notifications about crisis situations and university/storm closures are pushed through UPEI SAFE and automatically emailed to students, faculty, and staff @upei.ca email addresses.

  • Messages are also posted on the UPEI home page the UPEI Campus Screen network, and Twitter (@UPEI).

  • Mass notifications can also be broadcast in UPEI buildings through a public address system.

  • For those who do not have a smartphone or a supported app platform, you may also subscribe to receive notifications by text (SMS) over cell connections by texting the word UPEI to the shortcode 723389. Standard message and data rates may apply.
