Sessional Instructor - Faculty of Nursing - Fall 2024
The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, has a sessional teaching opportunity in both NURS 4040: Conceptual Models and Nursing Theories (Section1) and NURS 4040: Conceptual Models and Nursing Theories (Section 2), in the Fall Semester of 2024-2025 academic year. Applicants can apply to teach one or both sections. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the course offered below will be taught in hybrid format (in-person and online).
NURS 4040: Conceptual Models and Nursing Theories
In this course, students are introduced to the works of selected nurse theorists. Students develop skills in critical analysis and application of conceptual models and theories to practice.
Term: August 26, 2024 – December 23, 2024
Salary: As per Sessional Instructor Stipends in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the University of Prince Edward Island Board of Governors and The University of Prince Edward Island Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1
Start Date: August 26, 2024
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a master’s degree in nursing as per CRNMPEI. Candidates applying will normally have established expertise, and successful leadership and/or teaching experience in a context related to the focus of the course. Previous experience in teaching is an asset.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the Faculty of Nursing’s Sessional Roster, and to those with experience in teaching university level courses.
