The L.M. Montgomery Institute (LMMI) is seeking    an undergraduate Student Assistant to provide online and social media support. The student will be supervised by Dr. Kate Scarth, Chair of L.M. Montgomery Studies, and Dr. Philip Smith, Chair of the L.M. Montgomery Institute.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Create and post content regarding activities of the L.M. Montgomery Institute and the Journal of L. M. Montgomery Studies on the Institute website, and on Instagram, Facebook, X, and Threads
  • Forward messages to LMMI mailing lists
  • Perform other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • UPEI Bachelor of Arts Student at UPEI
  • Demonstrated competence in posting to the social media sites noted above
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly motivated and responsible
  • The ability to work independently and be well organized
  • Familiarity with the life and/or work of L.M. Montgomery

 

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
