Sessional Instructor - Department of Religious Studies - Faculty of Arts (Winter 2020)
The Department of Religious Studies at The University of Prince Edward Island announces sessional opening for the following course in the 2019-20 academic year. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.
RS 1020 (Religions of the World: Eastern Traditions)
This course is an introduction to the major living religions of the East: Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Attention is directed to the ways in which each defines and promotes human fulfilment. Various audio-visual materials complement the lectures to convey an awareness of the spiritual and cultural dimensions of religion.
Three hours a week, 3 hours credit
This is an online/web course.
Applicants with a Ph.D or equivalent will be given priority, but those with a M.A. or equivalent are invited to apply.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
