Sessional Instructor - Department of Political Science - Faculty of Arts (Fall 2025)
The Department of Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach in the Fall 2025 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the courses offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.
Pols 2110 – Law, Politics and Judicial Process I (3 Credits)
This course is designed to acquaint interested students with the nature of law. It has a Canadian focus with special reference to Prince Edward Island. The areas covered this semester include sources of law, interests protected by the law, and fundamental legal and political concepts. Major areas of concentration are constitutional and civil law. Lecture: Three hours a week
NOTE: This course is timetabled for Thursday 5:30 PM to 8:15 PM and has an enrolment cap of 100. The first class will be on September 4, 2025.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI sessional roster for Political Science and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.
