Professional Practice Coordinator - Department of Applied Human Sciences - Faculty of Science
$72,067 to $79,900 per annum
The Department of Applied Human Sciences invites applications for a permanent full-time position as the Professional Practice Coordinator of the UPEI Integrated Dietetic Internship program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be required to coordinate the integrated dietetic internship program. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Planning and directing dietetic intern education and training
- Arranging and facilitating intern placement experiences, including providing support for preceptors
- Developing and updating placement agreements and insurance certificates
- Mentoring students and evaluating their performance
- Ensuring program compliance with accreditation standards
- Updating program policies and procedures
- Facilitating the annual program evaluation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum qualifications include a B.Sc. in Foods and Nutrition (or equivalent)
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related area, or are in the process of completing a Master’s degree
- A minimum of 5 years of recent experience working as a Registered Dietitian, including precepting dietetic interns
- Experience working as a Professional Practice Coordinator
- Familiarity with the Integrated Competencies for Dietetic Education and Practice 3.0
- Eligible to register with the College of Dietitians of PEI
- Proficiency in Word and Excel
