Student Project manager - Facilities of Management
$21.20 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
May 2, 2025 – August 22, 2025
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out regular site inspections, to monitor the construction progress and quality, ensuring compliance with contract requirements as contained in the plans and specifications
Assists handling/overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large capital projects to minor alterations/renovations on campus
Identifies and schedules, project deliverables, milestones and required tasks
Coordinates with Procurement Services to obtain resources required for projects and prepares requests for proposals and scopes of work
Assists in the consultant/contractor/vendor selection process
Represents UPEI as required at meetings related to project, including construction project meetings
Keeps management informed of project status and related issues
Assists in ensuring commissioning plan is completed
Manages confidential materials and responsible to hold in confidence all matters pertaining to the project and the workplace
Any other duties assigned by the Manager of Capital Projects and Planning
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current UPEI student with preference given to Sustainable Design Engineering students
- Strong academic standing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
