The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development is seeking applications for the position of Student Assistant. This position will primarily focus on assisting with Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Training (WHVPT) programming offered through the Office and will report to the Program Officer overseeing WHVPT programming.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the research and collection of market trends and needs related to WHVPT target industries
  • Assist with research related to workplace harassment and violence in Canada to use as sources of information for WHVPT Social Media pages
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Instructor Led Training (ILT) sessions for WHVPT
  • Assist with the input of data from in-person WHVPT sessions
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the WHVP Calendar and OneDrive for Facilitators
  • Monitor WHVPT email
  • Provide technical assistance to participants using Zoom where required
  • Communicate regularly with full-time staff regarding programming, progress and feedback
  • Other duties as required to support the activities of the UPEI Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a UPEI student in good academic standing
  • The successful candidate must have experience with the creation and presentation of marketing plans
  • This position requires strong computer, organizational and administrative skills, along with very strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The successful candidate will also be able to work independently, adhering to a set schedule for program delivery, while also being comfortable working as a member of a team

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
