Graduate Research Assistant – Nutrition (Up To 2 Positions) - Department of Applied Human Sciences - Faculty of Science
$27.00 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay, as per PSAC Local 86000

The Department of Applied Human Sciences is seeking two Graduate Research Assistants to work with Co-investigator Debbie MacLellan and Principal Investigator Jennifer Taylor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contact respondents receiving provincial social assistance
• Conduct approximately 25 qualitative interviews each in both virtual and in person settings across the province
• Work with the research team to transcribe interviews, code qualitative data and identify themes
• Report preparation
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a graduate student in good standing
• A driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Research experience, including interviewing, transcribing and analyzing qualitative data
• Strong communication, organization and writing skills
• Empathetic with excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with vulnerable populations an asset
This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the University of Prince Edward Island. Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students.
